This is the chapter 4 splash art for my Scooby-Doo fancomic "Mr. and Mrs. Jones," set in Russia in 1944. It features "The Shadow" and on this page, he's carrying a bound and gagged Daphne from a train. But is he rescuing her or kidnapping her?
This amazing artwork was done by sleepy-comics ([link]), a great artist. A lot of my chapter titles are taken from movies involving trains (Like "Murder on the Soviet Express"). "The Lady Vanishes" is a great Alfred Hitchcock movie. See it, if you haven't already. I'm a fan, and I rate it among his top 5 (after "Rear Window," and "Jamaica Inn," and on par with "Shadow of a Doubt," "Psycho" and "Dial M for Murder." Jag PS: I got the idea for the artwork from a comic series called "The Unknown Soldier" and the series is known as "Star-Spangled War Stories." [link] |
